Welcome! I’m Jonah Wemin, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over 15 years of professional experience in accounting, financial management, and operations. I hold dual master’s degrees in Professional Accounting and Finance from Deakin University, Australia, along with a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from PNG University of Technology. I have been honored with prestigious scholarships, including the New Zealand and Australian Awards. As a CPA certified in both Papua New Guinea and Australia, I bring together academic excellence and extensive real-world expertise. Throughout my career, I have worked with a variety of local and international organizations, including the Department of Commerce, Ernst & Young, and the United Nations. These roles have provided me with invaluable experience in financial management, donor compliance, and capacity building. Over the years, while building financial and accounting capacities for accountants and organizations in Papua New Guinea, I observed a recurring issue: the lack of simple, everyday skills often leads to substantial financial inefficiencies, ultimately resulting in revenue loss and even the closure of otherwise promising organizations. I also realized that traditional academic programs, including CPA courses, often lack practical relevance to the real-world tasks accountants face. This realization motivated me to develop solutions that bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. Currently, I specialize in creating and offering online training courses in accounting, finance, and tax management.
